Nyabinghi which means "hidden queen", fought to free Africans from colonial slavery and rule. This head wrap was inspired by a healer called Muhumusa who was believed to have the spirit of a legendary Queen, Nyabinghi, a priestess-queen of Kush. Muhumusa became a rebel warrior who inspired a movement fighting for freedom.
