Rooted in tradition, the term bindi comes from the Sanskrit word bindu, meaning “drop” or “particle.” Traditionally placed at the Ajna — the sixth chakra, or “third eye” — the bindi is believed to enhance intuition, inner wisdom, and spiritual clarity.
Beyond its spiritual purpose, the bindi also holds deep cultural significance in Hindu traditions, often worn during marriage ceremonies, festivals, and other sacred occasions.
